Greetings webling. I’m Ann, a software engineer from San Francisco, CA.

I grew up in California’s Central Valley on a pistachio farm. Although I’ve eaten more pistachios than most humans, I still love them, and I especially love them in the form of gelato.

I’ve been doing computer stuff since I graduated from college in the mid-90s, which is where and when I made my very first web page. I made it by viewing source, copying, pasting in a new file, and editing. It’s called bootstrapping now.

I like to think I’ve stayed current, that I have good sense for web development, and that I am a part of moving things forward. I have opinions; therefore, this blog.

I have a wonderful teenage daughter, a brilliant partner, and good friends. I love 📚 🎸🚲 🎨 🍫 🎾 ⚽️ 🏐 🌯 🥗 🌮 🍜 🍝 🍣 🍟 🐺 🐦 🐋 and in fact the whole shebang: 🌎 🌍 🌏 (all sides).
